- Melbourne IT Ltd ('Melbourne IT') may change these terms and conditions at
any time and without notice by posting the changes (or changed terms and conditions)
on its website.
- For general information in respect of the dot biz pre-registration process, go to
the Melbourne IT Help Center. For general information as to
whether you or your business qualify to use or register a dot biz domain name, go
to Melbourne IT's dot-biz information page.
- DOT BIZ PRE-REGISTRATION FEES
A) You agree that the fee payable for your submission to Melbourne IT of a dot biz
pre-registration application is to be calculated in accordance with the tiered pricing
shown on your personal pricing
information page. These rates can be changed at any time by Melbourne IT posting
notification of a change to the rates on that website.
B) You agree that any dot biz pre-registration applications must be paid for
in full to be submitted to the dot biz registry, Neulevel, Inc, by Melbourne IT
for processing.
C) You agree that you may not cancel a pre-registration application once it has
been submitted by you and paid for in full. In addition, you agree that the
pre-registration application fee is non-refundable. For this reason, you acknowledge
that you must ensure that all information in respect of your pre-registration
application is correct before submitting your application and payment to Melbourne
IT for processing.
D) You agree to pay for your dot biz pre-registration applications using Melbourne
IT's secure online credit card payment facility using any one of the following credit
cards: American Express, Diners, MasterCard, Visa.
- DOT BIZ REGISTRATIONS
A) The dot biz registry will compile all pre-registration applications into a pool
and randomly select those applications which are to be successfully registered. You
will be informed by email as to which of your pre-registration applications have
been successfully registered in this process. For more general information about
this name selection process, go to www.neulevel.com.
B) The dot biz registry does not permit cancellations or refunds to applicants for
pre-registration who have been successful in obtaining registration of their dot biz
domain names during the name selection process. For this reason, Melbourne IT is not
able to permit cancellations or refunds where your pre-registration application has
resulted in the successful registration of a dot biz domain name.
C) You agree that in making payment for any pre-registration application using your
credit card in accordance with clause 3D), you also authorise Melbourne IT to deduct
payment from that credit card for any successful registration resulting from your
pre-registration application. You will receive a notice sent to the email address
which you supply to Melbourne IT in respect of your pre-registration application
where Melbourne IT has made any such deduction from your credit card.
D) You agree that the fee for successful registration of your dot biz domain names
is shown in your personal
pricing information page. Registration of such domain names will be for a minimum
of 2 years.
E) You agree that Melbourne IT will post at
http://www.melbourneit.com.au/policies/prereg-biz.php the terms and
conditions governing dot biz domain name registrations (including, without limitation,
your rights and obligations as a registrant and Melbourne IT's rights and obligations
as a registrar of such domain names) prior to the dot biz commencement date for real
time registrations, and that you will be bound by such terms and conditions in respect
of your registered dot biz domain names. The commencement date for real time
registrations of dot biz domain names is currently expected to be 1 October 2001.
- General
A) You acknowledge that the dot biz pre-registration and registration process is to be
administered by the dot biz registry. Administration of the dot biz pre-registration
and registration process is the responsibility of the dot biz registry. Any queries
in respect of these issues should be directed to the dot biz registry,
NeuLevel, directly.
B) Melbourne IT is not responsible for any claim or demand which arises in respect of
the dot biz pre-registration or registration process, and which may be made against you
by the dot biz registry or any other person, and you agree to hold harmless and release
Melbourne IT from and against such claims.
