How do I renew my domain name?

When your domain name approaches its expiry date, you will be notified by Melbourne IT. The reminder email will include instructions on how to renew your domain name.

To renew a domain name using your My Account:

1. Login to your My Account by clicking the Login link at the top right of the website, and entering your username and password
   The My Account Console will be displayed
2. Click Manage Domain Names under the Manage Domain Names section of the Console
   The Manage Domain Names page will be displayed with the list of domain names under your My Account
   Hint: Click a column heading to sort your domain name list accordingly
3. Click the domain name you want to renew
   The Domain Management page for the selected domain name will be displayed
4. Click Renew Domain in the Overview section and follow the on-screen prompts to renew the domain name
   Note: A .au domain name can be renewed between 90 days before its expiry date and 14 days after its expiry date. All other domain names can be renewed at any time.
5. Ensure that you logout when finished

Note: You cannot renew a domain name within 45 minutes of the previous renewal. This is to prevent accidental duplicate renewals.
